Phone Lines and Wait Times
We are aware of the difficulties and frustrations caused by the high demand. Unfortunately we are limited to the amount of telephone lines and these cannot be increased. We would ask you to ring for blood results and other admin queries after 2pm to allow for patients ringing to book appointments in the morning.
Ongoing Improvements
We continue to work to enhance our appointment system and thank you for your patience and understanding. We are currently updating our diary and will implement these changes from early June 2025. Until then, we are only offering emergency appointments to ensure the safety of our patients. Thank you for your co-operation.
Emergency Appointments
Emergency appointments are released daily and are reserved for emergency cases only. Our staff may have to ask questions in order to ascertain the best solution. When capacity is reached you will be advised of other options, if you feel you cannot wait.
Routine Appointments / Pre-Bookable Appointments
We offer a limited number of routine and pre-bookable appointments daily. Once these are booked, only emergency appointments are available. If you require a routine appointment after capacity has been reached, you will be asked to ring back another day.
Please note we operation on a rolling diary as of 9th June 2025. New appointments are released daily ensuring that availability stays fair and manageable. We have found that extending this period leads to a high rate of missed appointments.
Telephone Consultations
We can offer telephone consultations, however some consultations will require a physical examination and a face to face appointment will be recommended.
Interpreter Services
Interpreter services are available for patients whose first language is not English and for patients who have a hearing impairment. Requests for these services should be made through reception at the time of booking your appointment.
Home Visits
These should only be requested by people who are unable to leave home because of illness or disability. We are unable to facilitate home visits requested due to transport difficulties and other social reasons.
